Stephanie Ann Smith

NORWALK  — Stephanie Ann Smith, 77, of Norwalk, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, in Norwalk Memorial Home.

She was born Jan. 15, 1943, to S. Henry and Maude (Eaton) Smith in Norwalk, and was a lifelong area resident.

Stephanie graduated from Norwalk High School in 1961 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Ashland College in 1967. She was a 55-plus year member of the Norwalk United Methodist Church, and member of the United Methodist Women.

She was a former art teacher in the Galion School system, and a counselor at Marymount Convent in Garfield Heights, teaching mentally disabled adults. Stephanie also worked as a counselor and case manager for the United Cerebral Palsy association.

Stephanie is survived by several cousins.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Norwalk First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Dr. Brian Oglesbee will officiate. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
