Plymouth Silver King & Firemen’s Festival runs through Saturday

PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Silver King & Firemen’s Festival is well under way.

While not necessarily part of the 31st annual event, village residents celebrated the ribbon cutting of the Hound Dog Hop reopening Thursday morning. The eatery is located at 195 Sandusky St., Plymouth.

The annual quilt show at the Plymouth Area Museum started Wednesday and continues through Saturday. First Presbyterian Church hosted an ice cream social Wednesday.

The Plymouth library hosted two events Thursday — apple pie baking and the summer reading wrap-up program.

Here is the rest of the schedule for the Plymouth Silver King & Firemen’s Festival:

Today

8 a.m. to dark: Silver Kings of Yesteryear tractor exhibit, north of Veterans Park behind the former police station

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Pop-up shops (craft and specialty market) at 11 E. Main St., Plymouth

11 to 7: Quilt show at the Plymouth Area Museum, 7 E. Main St.

Noon to 10 p.m.: Chicken barbecue at the fire station, 20 Portner St.

1 and 4: Screening of the 1936 original Silver King tractor video at the Plymouth Area Museum

2 to 8: PIC ice cream stand at the fire station

3 to midnight: Beer garden at the station

4 to 10: Midway rides and attractions 

6: Fire Queen crowning at the fire station

6: Mud volleyball tournament begins

6:45: Kids Fun Run begins at the fire station

7: 5K run/walk begins at the station

8: Live music by County Line at the station

Saturday

8 a.m. until parade time: Silver Kings of Yesteryear tractor exhibit, north of Veterans Park behind the former police station

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Pop-up shops at 11 E. Main St.

11 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Quilt show at the Plymouth Area Museum

12 to 10 p.m.: Chicken barbecue at the fire station

Noon: Mud volleyball resumes at the fire station
