Jack Stephens Sr.

WILLARD — Jack Stephens Sr., 79, of Willard died Wednesday at his home.

He was born Sept. 22, 1939 in Salyersville, Ky. to the late Jay and Flora (Dunn) Stephens. Jack Sr. was employed for years at Sheller Globe in Norwalk and enjoyed hunting, fishing, whittling and doing yard work, but spending time with his family he cherished most.

Jack Sr. is survived by his wife, Kay (Laughlin) Stephens; a son, Jack Stephens Jr. of Yuma, Ar.; two daughters, Patty (David) McClellan of Willard and Robin (Brian) Shepherd of Shiloh; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Stephens of Mansfield and Corbett Stephens of Salyersville, Ky.

He was preceded in death by a son, Orval Stephens; two grandsons; three brothers, JB Stephens, F. Louie Stephens and Lanson Stephens; and five sisters, Wilma Patrick, Irene Lykins, Janet Stephens, Mildred Back and Versie Stevens.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Willard Freewill Baptist Church, 670 Keefer St., where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Ronald Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Willard.
