Anna Large Bodeman

CLYDE — Anna Large Bodeman, 95, of rural Clyde, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 at The Gardens of Clyde.

Anna was born June 16, 1923 in Knoxville, Tenn., daughter of Milton L. and Cornelia (Minton) Cole.

She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a longtime member of the Bellevue congregation.

She enjoyed her flower gardens and sewing.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Bodeman, whom she married Dec. 7, 1970; three children, Charles Large of Mexico City, Mexico; Patricia Holsinger of Clyde and Ricky Large of Green Springs; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive as well.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Charles Large, whom she married on Dec. 2, 1944 and who died April 7, 1968; and siblings, Thelma Nelson, David Cole, Vanna Dozier and William Cole.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7 at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Jeff Trapp officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
