Joanne E. (Barman) Baker

NORWALK — Joanne E. (Barman) Baker, age 76, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Gaymont Nursing Center after a short illness.

She was born September 6, 1942 in Norwalk to Alvin and Elizabeth May Barman. She worked at Fanny Farmers, Wappler and Arthur Corp. She was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church in the RCIA program. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren show horses and their sporting events. Joanne was a Senior Center Ambassador and traveled with the Huron County Trips.

She is survived by her mother, Betty; daughters, Tricia (Doug Combs) Baker and Tracy (Ronald) Lang, both of Norwalk; grandchildren, Chas (Jeremy Perez), Cortney (Gregory Spettle), Kyle (Gabby Oney), Haleigh Skinner; sister, Susan (Virgil) Hahn of Sandusky and her beloved dog Mimi.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk with Rev. Andrew Wellmann officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date at St. Paul Cemetery.
