Mary I. (Fenner) Stover

BERLIN HEIGHTS — Mary I. (Fenner) Stover, 90, of Berlin Heights, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018, in Norwalk Memorial Home.

She was born November 10, 1928 in Brighton, Ohio, to the late Homer and Jennie (Davidson) Fenner. Mary was a 1946 graduate of Norwalk High School, and was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church.

She was a former legal secretary for Carpenter, Paffenbeger, Meyerhoefer, and McGimpsey Law Firm of Norwalk, Ohio, retiring in 1995. Mary was also the former co-owner of Stover Tire Company of North Fairfield, Ohio, from 1964 to 1978. She enjoyed crocheting, count and cross stitch, sewing, collecting Hummel figurines, visiting casino’s, baking, especially her Christmas baking day, league bowling at Pullman Lanes in Willard, Ohio, and Maple Tree Lanes in Norwalk, Ohio. Mary also enjoyed shopping with her daughter, and granddaughters, playing Bingo, and working on Jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Jane E. (Mark) Bell of Berlin Heights, Ohio, and David A. (Colette) Stover of Menifee, California, by his grandchildren, Tina (Dennis) Hormell of Collins, Ohio, Tonya (Paul) Mortimer of Bellevue, Ohio, Tamara (Matthew Gromis) Bell of North Fairfield, Ohio, Michelle Diaz of Murrieta, California, and Malcolm Hassan of the United Kingdom. Mary is also survived by her great grandchildren, Andrew and Abigail Hormell, Holly Dulin, Onalee and Lydia Keysor, and Michael, Trystan, Blake, and Jaedyn Diaz, by her niece, Lynette Glick of Phoenix, Arizona, by 2 grand nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carol E. “Smokey” Stover in 2016, by her sister, Lois Liebhart, and by her step-father, Karl Suhr.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
