James “Hob” H. Bryant

NORWALK — James “Hob” H. Bryant, age 73, of Norwalk and formerly Berlin Heights, passed away Thursday evening, November 1, 2018 at his residence.

He was born May 27, 1945 in Berlin Heights, OH to the late Virgil and Madge (Church) Bryant. He attended Berlin Heights School and retired after 35 years at Sandusky Athol. His family was his priority and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, attending flea markets, the outdoors and especially enjoyed remodeling.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Olga M. (Farkas) Bryant of Norwalk; daughters, Christine VanMeter of Norwalk and Cheri Perry of Monroeville; grandchildren, Lindsi VanMeter and Dillon Perry; siblings, Doris Morrow of Norwalk and William (Tillie) Bryant of Berlin Heights; a sister-in-law, Linda Bryant; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Thurman Bryant and Herman “Bud” Bryant; and his in-laws, Sherman “Dean” Morrow and Vinnie Swartz.

Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights.
