Maureen McGovern to perform with North Coast Men's Chorus

CLEVELAND — The North Coast Men’s Chorus announces that as part of the celebration of its 30th anniversary, joining them will be Maureen McGovern, multi-Grammy nominee, Broadway and recording artist, with a career that includes more than 45 years of recordings, concerts, theater, film, television, radio and songwriting.

Events include:

• NCMC 30th Anniversary Gala: 6:30 to 11 p.m. March 23 at Windows on the River, 2000 Sycamore St, Cleveland. NCMC’s celebrated ensemble, The Coastliners, will be headlining at the 30th anniversary black tie celebration featuring a special appearance by McGovern, hors d’oeuvres and dinner with a cash bar, a silent auction, and a special 30th anniversary program. • NCMC 30th Anniversary Concert: 8 p.m. March 24 at KeyBank State Theatre, 1519 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. The North Coast Men’s Chorus will open the evening with one of their energy sets. McGovern will then thrill the audience with a set of her favorite songs, joined by the men of NCMC on several selections. Tickets can be purchased at playhousesquare.org.

McGoverns’s hits include The Morning After from “The Poseidon Adventure”, Can You Read My Mind from “Superman”, and We May Never Love Like This Again from “The Towering Inferno”. She also appeared in the role of Sr. Angelina in the films “Airplane!” and Airplane II: The Sequel”.
