MILAN — Milan Public Library’s Touch-A-Truck event is picking up speed.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the library’s front and back parking lot, 19 E. Church St., Milan.

It’s designed for children to explore vehicles of all types — public service, emergency, utility and construction — all in one place.

Children can learn about, and climb into several vehicles, including police cars, ambulances, firetrucks, Coast Guard boats, UPS vans, farm machinery and concrete mixers.

The festivities will also feature food vendors, a green screen photo station and giant-sized KerPlunk and Jenga games.

Admission is free and the event is open to all ages.
