PERKINS TWP. — Authorities say an area man has been arrested for his seventh lifetime charge of operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI).

Justin Dennis, 29, of Sandusky, was stopped at 5:18 a.m. Friday for a marked lanes violation on Ohio 2 in Perkins Township, said troopers with the Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Dennis showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for OVI. He was transported to the Sandusky post, where he consented to a breath test and his blood-alcohol content (BAC) tested at .096 percent. The legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08 percent.

Dennis has six prior convictions through Bowling Green Municipal Court and Sandusky Municipal Court. Dennis also has a felony OVI pending in Erie County Common Pleas Court.

Dennis was incarcerated in the Erie County Jail and was scheduled to appear in Sandusky Municipal Court later that morning.
