Brian C. Rinner, 25, formerly of 107 S. Linwood Ave., was sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday for one count of grand theft of firearm. He received an additional 17 months for theft of drugs.
Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway also ordered Rinner to pay $1,309 in restitution.
The Norwalk Police Department arrested Rinner on Aug. 26, two days after court records indicate each crime was committed.
During a mid-November plea hearing, the defendant pleaded guilty to the two felonies in exchange for prosecutors dismissing one count each of grand theft of a firearm, a third-degree felony, and theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.
In a separate case, Amanda L. Moore, 37, formerly of 209 Washington St., Willard, was sentenced to a total of 34 months in prison Thursday for one count each of burglary and aggravated trafficking in drugs. The judge ordered her to reimburse the Willard Police Department $100 for the cost of drug testing.
The burglary happened Sept. 7 on Front Street in Willard. The Huron County Sheriff’s Office booked Moore into the jail Oct. 20.
And in a third case, Brandi N. Didion, 25, most recently of 5810 E. U.S. 20, Lot 95, Wakeman, pleaded guilty Thursday to theft. Deputies investigated the Sept. 18 incident.
Didion earlier signed a personal recognizance bond, meaning she promised to appear for future hearings without paying any money. Court records indicate she is prohibited from having any contact with Crossroad Tavern.
She will be sentenced Jan. 25.
