Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society.
Last year, 2.7 million Relay for Life participants at about 3,500 events throughout the United States raised more than $279 million. These funds help the American Cancer Society attack cancer in dozens of ways, including developing break-through therapies, building supportive communities, providing empowering resources and deploying activists to raise awareness.
Area residents can be a part of Relay For Life of Norwalk by attending Friday’s event and supporting all of the cancer survivors and their caregivers by cheering them on during the opening ceremony at 4 p.m. Visit all of the teams and support their fundraising efforts.
