On April 26, 1958, Donald Stallkamp and the former Joanne Hipp were wed at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Norwalk by Monsignor Hilary Weger. Now, 60 years later, the couple is looking back on the life they’ve shared.
Together they have six children: Roseanne (Kevin) Miller of Monroeville, Dianne (Doug) Galloway of Sandusky, Gene Stallkamp of Norwalk, Elaine (Scott) Bartlett of Monroeville, Jerry (Kim) Stallkamp of Norwalk, and the late Julie Stallkamp. Over the years, their family has grown to include 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
As active members in their church, they credit their faith in God and their love of family to their long, happy marriage. Outside of the congregation, Don and Joanne also enjoy long Sunday drives, trips to the Amish country, and spending quality time with their loved ones.
The Stallkamps are marking this milestone with Mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Monroeville and a brunch with their family.
